Austin City Limits Festival 2005
in um… Austin, TX on Sunday, Sept 25th 2005. When you’re company makes you travel, take advantage of it. That’s my advice for the day. My company sent me to Austin and I was able to take in the last day of the Austin City Limits Festival. Get a load of my day events: Arcade Fire, Decemberists, Wilco, Franz Ferdinand, Tortoise, and Coldplay. Oh yeah, it was 108 degrees…

Green Day
at SBC Park on Saturday, September 24th 2005.
After years of bad mouthing stadium shows withougt ever having gone to one, I went to see Green Day at SBC Park… and it was fantastic. Billie Joe is amazing front man, and they did a great job entertaining the entire crowd. It didn’t hurt to have know someone who toured with green Day who got me backstage passes. Didn’t have the camera this time- just the camera phone.

The Saddle Creek Love Fest… in Chicago!
So I went to Chicago for work, and saw a few good shows. First up is the Saddle Creek Love Fest: basically a bunch of bands on the Saddle Creek and Team Love labels. It included David Dondero, Orenda Fink, Neva Dinova, and Tilly and the Walls. Quite a jam packed fun show at this place called the Abbey Pub in Chicago.
